Assisted in the development and implimentation of the City and County of Denver's first Biligual Student Ambassador Program. Spanish, Vietnamese, and Somali speaking high schoolers were included in the program to collect feedback from corridor residents who may not otherwise be engaged.
Federal Boulevard Corridor Wide Study
During the landmark vsioning study of Denver's Federal Boulevard, Shannon McGuire served as the public involvement lead for the City and County of Denver. The study investigated transportation of all kinds on 9 miles of one of Denver's most diverse and vulnerable roadways, Federal Boulevard. The public involvement effort included outreach to multiligual, low income populations as well as business owners and other city stakeholders. By the end of the study, the project team recieved over 1,700 suggestions and comments from the public. Comments were analyzed and included in the development of city endorsed projects for the boulevard. Part of the project management team, Shannon regularly engaged with the engineering team, stakeholders, RTD, and the City and County of Denver.
